Back Garden

I have had a bit of a love / hate relationship with my back garden over the 13 years we have lived in the house. Having ignored it for quite some while, this year I am just doing some small things which please me, and am learning to enjoy it again.

This photo is from the brick patio at the end of the garden taken in Spring with the yellow Kerria in flower and lots of forget-me -nots. I aways thought the lovely white shrub on the left was Spiraea but have just looked it up and it doesn’t appear to be!

Located in London, United Kingdom, LindaMae's Back garden is an outdoor garden that currently contains 32 plants.

This is a Backyard garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 9. It has mainly Clay soil and receives Partial Sun light.

You have a beautifully designed backyard garden. What a great combination of color, texture, proportion and detail.

There are a number of spireas, with different flower forms, and that certainly looks like one. The only other thing I can think of would be philadelphus. You have a lovely garden.

Such a charming garden! I’m no expert, but I agree with NellJean that it looks like yours is a type of spirea. Lovely!
