Barbecue (or BBQ) Garden

On the south side of The Walk is a slate-covered area with a brick BBQ. I no longer use the BBQ as I prefer to cook inside and, besides, I have this amazing yellow-flowered Banksia which has mounded up over everything and would be a shame to destroy. There are countless birdnests within the rose and we get a lot of enjoyment from watching the birds.

The BBQ is now used as a potplant stand. Horizontal planks (ranch-style) form the outside wall of this area and behind the BBQ is a continuation of planks to close off the area to where the main back garden is situated. It shares this wall with The Shadehouse/Potting Shed.

Overhead is an ornamental grape providing a little summer shade and beautiful colour during autumn.

An outdoor organic garden located in Castlemaine 3450, Australia, Prickles's Barbecue (or BBQ) garden currently contains 34 plants.

This is a Container garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 9b. It has mainly Potting Mix soil and receives Dappled Sun light.
