The Lilacs are in bloom. To me, there is nothing that can match that wonderful fragrance. As soon as you walk into the yard, it wraps all around you. The old heirloom bush has loads of flowers. And today there were huge bumble bees, honey bees and even a couple of butterflies drinking the nectar....

Lavandula angustifolia - English Lavender Planting Out and Heritage garden

I received a rooted plant of English Lavender in an herb swap. It was planted out in the Heritage Garden inside the fence at the left side of the gate. The plant is about 10 inches tall with several branches. Looks very healthy.
