    New bulb growth

    Poppy Anemone Sprouting and Borders garden
    All the Anemones in the Borders are sprouting new leaf foliage. I was surprised, even though I remembered that the bulbs grew leaves last winter in January after planting them in October. Those leaves stayed green all winter, so I wonder if these will stay or die off in the cold.

    Perking up for spring

    Poppy Anemone Breaking Dormancy and Borders garden
    The Anemones have had new leaves sprouting since early winter. However, for the past few weeks, they have been compressed under inches of snow. The snow is gone, and the leaves are perking back up.
