From seed packet:Compact plants are perfect for small gardens. Vines only 18-30 inches long produce an abundant crop of picklers to use in all stages. Light green fruits grow up to 4.5 inches long at maturity.
Light: Full sun
Planting depth: 1/2 inch
Plant spacing: 12 inches
Sow in fertile, well-drained soil after all danger of frost has passed, from spring to mid-summer. For "hill" culture, space 4-6 seeds in groups 5-6 feet apart. Cover with 1/2 inch of soil, firm lightly and keep evenly moist. Or sow seeds about 6 inches apart in rows 4-5 feet apart if growing on a trellis or fence. Seedlings emerge in 7-14 days.
Thin to 3 strong plants to each group if using "hill" method when seedlings are 6 inches high. If using trellis method, thin plants to stand about 12 inches apart.
Garden hints: Keep fruits picked to encourage more production.
