Enjoys a full sun position in your garden and remember to water moderately. Blacktail Mountain is generally regarded as a tender plant, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Blacktail Mountain needs a soil ph of 6.0 to 6.7 (weakly acidic soil).

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 8.12 feet (2.50 metres) and sow at a depth of around 0.39 inches (1.0 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 16°C / 61°F.

Blacktail Mountain is tender, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.
