Watermelon 'Crimson Sweet'

Keep in mind when planting that Crimson Sweet is thought of as tender, so it is really important to ensure that the outside temperature is well above freezing before planting or moving outdoors. Ensure your soil has a ph of between 6.5 and 7.5 as Crimson Sweet is a weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil loving plant.

Look to ensure a distance 5.85 feet (1.80 metres) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Crimson Sweet is a tender plant.
