Choose a sunny site with humus rich well drained soil. durandii can be left to scramble through other plants or shrubs or contained easily on an obelisk.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Durandii is a hardy plant.

Harvesting Durandii

Originally raised as a cut flower, blooms are robust and reliable, ready from late summer to early autumn. Seed heads are also attractive in arrangements.

This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by late summer.
