Shallot 'Red Sun'

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Red Sun is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. Ideally plant in loamy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 6.0 and 7.0 as Red Sun likes to be in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.98 inches (2.5 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 13°C / 55°F to ensure good germination.
