Water when dry. Water more frequently during dry spells. Drought tolerant once established. Fertilize every two weeks with 15-30-15. Heat tolerant and low maintenance.

Plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Rubrum is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Rubrum is a hardy plant.
