How to grow Purple beautyberry 'Early Amethyst'

  • Partial Sun

  • Medium

Prune in late winter or early spring every year. Hard pruning to 6" will result in a very compact shrub and good flowering. Plant in groups or masses to encourage good cross-pollination and fruit production.1

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Early Amethyst is thought of as hardy, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea).
