Pea 'Sima'

Sima likes a position of partial sun and remember to water very often. Keep in mind when planting that Sima is thought of as half hardy, so protect with a row cover whenever the temperatures drop. Ensure your soil is loamy and has a ph of between 5.5 and 6.5 as Pea is a weakly acidic soil loving plant.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 2.97 inches (7.62 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.99 inches (2.54 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 4°C / 39°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Sima about 35 days before your last frost date.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Sima is a half hardy plant.
