Spearmint 'Mint Julep'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys dappled sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Mint Julep is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Ensure your soil is loamy, potting mix and clay and has a ph of between 6.5 and 7.0 as Spearmint is a weakly acidic soil to neutral soil loving plant.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 11.7 inches (30.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.23 inches (0.6 cm).

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Mint Julep is a hardy plant.
