Rosmarinus officinalis

How to grow Rosemary 'Salem'

  • Full Sun

  • Low

Salem likes a position of full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Salem is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures.

Growing Salem from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.23 inches (0.6 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Salem

As Salem is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
