'Calico plant' is a plant in the Alternanthera genus with a scientific name of Alternanthera ficoidea.

Alternanthera ficoidea is a great popular groundcover plant. Has many different brightly colored cultivars that feature green leaves blotched with yellow, orange, red, brown, copper or purple.

Blooms appear in these approximate colours:   Ghost white. Leaves appear approximately as a   Grade 1 Paint Green and   Palatinate purple colour. It is a herb and is treated mainly as an annual/perennial, so it can grow either as a single season or multiple season plant. Normally grows with a forb habit.
