False cypress   

Chamaecyparis pisifera

False cypress is a member of the Chamaecyparis family. Its botanical name is Chamaecyparis pisifera. Leaves usually appear in   Dark green and   Lawn green colour. It is a non-edible conifer and is treated mainly as an evergreen, so it retains its leaves throughout the year. Normally grows with a shrubby habit.

Japan is believed to be where False cypress originates from.

False cypress is normally quite a low maintenance plant and is normally very easy to grow - great for beginner gardeners!
