Plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Canby Red is thought of as hardy, so Canby Red will tend to go dormant or grow slowly over the winter months. Canby Red requires a clay soil with a ph of 5.7 - 6.0 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil.
