Banana plant 'Dwarf Cavendish'

Clay loam soils with organic matter will keep the plant healthy.it prefers full sun in mild and cool climates and partial shades in hot weather(35-40C).Note that Musa plants are succullent type,they need proper watering in hot dry places and moderate in temperate zones(cool air affects plant utilization of water and it must be observed since succullent plants are susceptible to rot caused by fungi in cool damp conditions)

Seeds in cavendish is seldom. Usually when planted near other banana varieties that produce seeds, seeds in cavendish fruit will have possibilities to develop but only few.Tissue culture is recommended for the propagation of this plant to ensure uniformity in fruit appearance and aroma.

Soil temperature should be kept higher than 17°C / 63°F to ensure good germination.

Loam and clay loam soils are the usual soil types needed by the cavendish.Captan and other fungi control agents is recommended to use for planting materials in order to control fungi growth in plant root systems.planting will be done when soil is moist and the temp.
