How to grow Iris 'Clarence'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Clarence is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. A soil ph of between 6.1 and 7.8 is ideal for Clarence as it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Clarence from seed

Sow 0.99 inches (2.55 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 1.19 inches (3.05 cm).

Transplanting Clarence

As Clarence is very hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
