Not usually grown from seed but grafted onto root stock. In general roses will also strike from semi cuttings taken with a heel in mid summer.
Choose a sunny spot and dig a hole wide enough to take the roots and deep enough to cover the graft by about 5cm Back fill with the addition of well rotted manure or blood fish and bone. Firm and water.
