Mondo grass 'Nippon'

Keep in mind when planting that Nippon is thought of as half hardy, so remember to protect this plant from frosts and low temperatures. A soil ph of between 6.1 and 6.5 is ideal for Nippon as it does best in weakly acidic soil.

As Nippon is half hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
