Serissa grows well in moisture retaining soil. It is not tolerant of drought conditions. Ideally it should be placed where it gets morning sun and afternoon shade. When grown outdoors do not let grass close to Serissa. Serissa will drop its leaves at the first sign of stress.1
Propagation is by division of the root ball, woody stem cuttings or by mound layering.
