Bunching onion 'Green'

Harvest the bunches when they reach spring onion size.

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Green is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Green requires a loamy and sandy soil with a ph of 6.0 - 7.0 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 3.9 inches (10.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.23 inches (0.6 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 13°C / 55°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Green about 28 days before your last frost date.

If module planted – transplant one module (should be 4 – 5 baby plants) every 10 cm or so.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Green is a hardy plant.
