How to grow Gloxinia 'Avanti'

Propagation is best by cuttings taken from old tubers started into growth in spring. It may also be grown from leaf cuttings.

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Avanti is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. A soil ph of between 6.0 and 6.5 is ideal for Avanti as it does best in weakly acidic soil.
