How to grow Strawberry 'Sparkle'

  • Full Sun

  • High

Sparkle likes a position of full sun and remember to water often. Keep in mind when planting that Sparkle is thought of as hardy, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea). Ideally plant in loamy and clay soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 5.5 and 7.5 as Sparkle likes to be in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Sparkle from seed

Aim to sow 0.0 inches (0.0 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 11.7 inches (30.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 20°C / 68°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Sparkle

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Sparkle is a hardy plant.
