Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Fuji is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Fuji tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 5.5 and 6.5 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil.

Apple Fuji Etymology

This apple was bred from two American parents – the Red Delicious and Ralls Janet, an heirloom apple that goes back to Thomas Jefferson in 1793. The Fuji was “born” in 1952 in Japan and introduced into the United States in the 1980s.
