Tomato 'BHN 602'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that BHN 602 is thought of as tender, so remember to ensure that temperatures are mild before moving outdoors. Ideally plant in loamy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 5.5 and 7.5 as BHN 602 likes to be in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Start seeds indoors six weeks before last frost date. Seed saved from this variety will not grow true to the parent plant (because it is a hybrid).

Aim to sow 0.39 inches (1.0 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 0.78 inches (2.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 12°C / 54°F to ensure good germination.

Plant to the first set of true leaves to promote strong root growth.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as BHN 602 is a tender plant.
