nice savory “black” flavor, interesting in a cherry. Not too productive for me.

Ostrya's Tomato 'Amazon Chocolate' 2012 was Reviewed day 148
Very tasty heirloom tomato from the Ukraine. Flavor is well-balanced with a deep-tomato taste. Best fresh-sliced; some more subtle flavors get lost in BLT’s or other combinations of strong flavors.

crochetkim's Tomato, Prudens Purple was Reviewed day 151
Seemed more delicate than the others I’ve tried, so I kept them inside longer. They are doing well. The tomatoes are outstanding. Large size with dense cavities. No cracking. Will grow again.

crochetkim's Tomato, Valencia was Reviewed day 146
I wasn’t pleased with the taste of this tomato. It’s pretty and orange. But, it’s really sort of sour tasting…. like an orange, I guess.

KathN's Tomato "Black from Tula" was Reviewed day 321
This took too long to ripen in Seattle, but the few fruit that came off the vine were amazingly good. Huge, tasty, gorgeous. If I still lived in a warmer clime, I’d plant this again in a heartbeat.

KathN's Tomato "Csikos Botermo" was Reviewed day 321
Of the three tomatoes I grew in 2011, this was my favorite. The right size to slice for a salad or sandwich, a lovely sweet acidity and tender skin, hearty though not as prolific as I’d have liked. I think it was too crowded where it was.

This came from Spain. I sowed it in Feb ‘11 in the GH on the allotment. They germinated very well & after being put into 3" & 5" pots did very well but the plants weren’t happy & never gave much fruit

Not really happy in this location, but produced a few nice fruits. A good experiment, but if I’m going to try to grow big beefsteak-type tomatoes I’d rather have Vorlons.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! Will absolutely plant again. Regular producer all summer long; tasty mild fruits and it’s easy to tell when they’re ripe, even though they’re green. One of 2011’s favorite tomatoes at my house!

Wonderful tomato! Produced all summer long, and actually is still producing here in December. The only trouble was that the fruits ripened quickly, so unless I was out there picking every day, critters helped themselves to the bright yellow-orange fruit
