Planted two little paw paw trees between the grove and the walnut trees. The walnuts are going to be the center of a guild and paw paws fit well into walnut guilds. We planted them in the summer and put a wire fence around them. This one is next to the woodpile. Jed accidentally broke its top off when he was planting it, but it grew new leaves lower down. It’s very small because of it. We put a plastic pop bottle with the bottom cut out over it and mulched around it when the weather started to cool down to protect it during the winter.
