Happibun's Fritillary, Fox's Grape

Plant: Fox's Grape (Fritillaria uva-vulpis) | 0 | Happy

I love Fritillaries, I love their shape and elegance. To date I’ve only seen the Snakes head variety, so when I saw these on a stall at the weekend, I just had to have them.

I’ve not planted them out yet, they are in a plant pot on my windowsill in the kitchen, so I’m parking them here until I have worked out the best place for them. I’ll wait until they have finished flowering too.

The Fox’s Grape has more DNA than any plant or animal yet discovered. It adds up to around twenty-five times the amount of DNA in each cell of a human being. *
