I do not quite understand the problem. Are you unhappy because it got planted late so you will not be able to enjoy it? Did it die? I was just wondering what the reason was. I had a couple of mishaps with tomato seedlings early in the year which made me very unhappy. :( Thankfully, if this plant flowered, you should have seeds to plant for next year. I looked up this particular Holly hock earlier in the year. It is definitely a show stopper. :)
