So I am growing a gaggle of various spearmints to keep up with the demand my friend’s and neighbor’s have for freshly mixed mojitos. Seen here is a new variety for me, Mentha Julep. A nice, sweet spearmint.

Don’t even think of using peppermint in a mojito… well, okay it wan’t horibble, and I did drink it, but peppermint is much too overpowering for this cocktail.

Who knows, if I get a bumper crop from all the mint I am growing, I just might start drying some to make tea (now there is a novel idea). On the subject of peppermint, check out Herb’s frontyard garden for some great documentation on peppermint.
