This looks more like my Genovese basil. However, Italian large-leaf is a Genovese type. Using the description below, perhaps you can tell by its size and perhaps the color of blossoms (my sweet genovese basil blossoms white, the italian listed below blossoms pink).
[Italian Large Leaf] – “This Genovese-type basil grows 18 to 24 inches high and 12 to 15 inches wide. The dark green, shiny leaves grow up to 3 inches long on a tall, erect plant that is slow to bolt. Small terminal racemes of pink flowers are borne in summer.” {note: picture was deep shiny dark leaves. I’ve also seen very large deep-ruffled/ribbed leaves on the large-leaf}

My Genovese also has white blooms. It’s been a bit temperamental this year but finally I have three pots all doing reasonably well. I daren’t grow it outside despite out mild climate – currently we have torrential rain and strong winds which would flatten it.
Yours look really nice and healthy :-)

Oooh. Thanks for the information. I didn’t know the two were related like that. I suppose it doesn’t matter since Genovese is large-leaf!
