This seed never germinated for me. My guess is that the seed were harvested too soon and were immature. Resowed seed from a NOID farmer’s market french Heirloom; also from same Gardenweb trader. This time I direct sowed 3 seed per hill on May 20th and germination started as of May 25th. Hills were covered in a fine layer of straw to help keep the surface moist.
