cramsay's Knobcone Pine

Plant: Knobcone Pine (Pinus attenuata) | Day 188 | 0 | Happy

Large, wide, and problematic tree. Cones can be very heavy, and the tree does not drop them easily. When a lot of cones build up on the branches, they can cause the branches to break, and these are big branches I’m talking about. We’ve lost several (with moderate damage to anything below), and have had to have arborists out multiple times to thin it out. About 20 ft. tall and wide. Native to southern Oregon/northern California.
