MattMiddleton's 'Dark Opal' Basil Care Instructions

Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.12 inches (0.3 cm) if planning to sow direct.

Basil is known for growing to a height of approximately 45.0 cm (1.46 feet) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.

Basil likes a position of full sun light, which is a perfect fit for your garden.

Remember to water moderately.

Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (6) is within the ideal range for Basil. The recommended range is between Zone 4 and 10.

Basil requires a soil ph of 6.0 - 7.5 meaning it does best in acidic to alkaline soil.

Black Spot are common problems for Basil so keep a note of any developing symptoms.
