rainymountain's Dahlia Caballero x 2

Plant: Dahlia (Dahlia) | Day 199 | 0 |

Annual containers 3 & 4: Decorative dahlia layer on layer of fully double flat florets that are broad and blunt ended, blooms up to 10"dia, red petals trimed with yellow, full sun, mid to late summer, 40"h. One tuber in each, they already had roots and shoots. Planters are currently against the ugly container 9 May 09, with bags of leaves around them.

One of the dahlias bloomed early July?, a miserable dirty white flower, v. disappointing. This plant was nothing like as sturdy as the other one, which started blooming at the end of August and continued into September, and was true to its name. The white one also put out another flower, which was much more attractive than the first one..
