rainymountain's Red tulips and yellow tulips

These were here when I made the garden, red and yellow ones with black splotches at the base of the inside of the petals. From their shape probably Darwins – there must have been a bargain offer at some time because almost every garden that has tulips has these. They come back every year vigorous as ever. Mostly at the east end of the bed growing on pure sand.
