Loves cool weather and does best when transplanted outside in mid-spring or late summer. Best started indoors 4 to 6 seeds per foot, transplanted 1.5 feet (18 inches) apart. Enrich soil with mature compost and a little lime when transplanting into rows 1.25 to 2 feet (16 to 24 inches) apart.
