Loves cool weather and does best when transplanted outside in mid-spring or late summer. Best started indoors 4 to 6 seeds per foot, transplanted 1.5 feet (18 inches) apart. Enrich soil with mature compost and a little lime when transplanting into rows 1.25 to 2 feet (16 to 24 inches) apart.

Developed by our Research Director, Alan Kapuler, Ph.D., this nutritious selection is unusually high in free glutamine which is one of the building blocks of protein, a primary energy source of the brain and a major healing nutrient. It has a large central head with medium-sized side shoots on vigorous and attractive plants, making this a choice new variety.
