Got these from waitrose ages ago and they started chitting at the same time as the other potatoes I was purposely trying to chit…so, I thought I’d give them a go too.
I think they are Edzell Blue, but I’m not 100% sure – I remember from the packet that they were heirloom and scottish so this is my closest guess. If anyone has any other ideas, let me know! (In the photos: they are the blue ones towards the back)
Planted 4 in a potato bag with some fresh worm compost and newspaper shredding.

If sowing directly, sow at a depth of approx. 5.85 inches (15.0 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 11.7 inches (30.0 cm) between Potato plants.
Potato 'Edzell Blue' normally reaches to a mature height of 3.90 feet [imperial: 1.20 metres] so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Your garden has partial sun light which is ideal for Potato 'Edzell Blue'.
Remember to water moderately.
Try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 5.0 and 6.0 as Potato 'Edzell Blue' likes to be in acidic soil.
Common Potato problems include Early Blight, so keep a close eye out for any developing symptoms.

Forgetting the name is a curse I suffer with. I started with 4 purple heirloom style from the Coop 2 years ago (maybe from Norfolk?) ate plenty last year and have enough to grow a row this year. Never seen them again in the Coop.
