No. 26029 – A nice bunching onion from central Europe, strong flavoured plants that are particularly cold hardy.
Sow undercover at 4-5 seeds per module or at 4 inch spacing direct outdoors in March / April or in Aug / Sept for a winter crop. Plant out module sown crops at approx 2 inch tall, one module (4-5 baby plants) every 4 inches. Harvest the bunches once they reach spring onion size. When cooking, use the entire onion – both white and green bits – chopped up in salads or cooked just like normal onions.

Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 3.9 inches (10.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Winterhecke normally grows to a max height of 1.95 feet (that's 60.0 cm metric) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Remember to water moderately.
