Very early red tomato – absurdly early modern variety for short, cold seasons. Tolerates cool summers. 1 – 2 inch perfectly spherical red fruit on a wide sprawling bush. Widely spaced leaves for earliest ripening.
Sow in modules or trays from late Feb – early april. Germinates best at 24 – 32c.
Very sprawling bush – needs a stake for each branch! Widely spaced leaves are normal. Developed at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, USA.

Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 2.60 feet (80.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.78 inches (2.0 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Latah normally grows to a max height of 3.90 feet (that's 1.20 metres metric) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Remember to water moderately.
Tomato 'Latah' ideally needs a soil ph of 5.0 to 6.0 (acidic soil), so check your soil acidity regularily.
Tomato problems include Bacterial Speck, Bacterial Spot, Bacterial Canker, Verticillium Wilt, and Early Blight, so keep a close eye out for any developing symptoms.
