puu's vine maple

bought ten vine maples from the Clark County Conservation District last year. I planted them on either side of the path down the river and have staked them to grow upright for a few years. the plan is to eventually pleach the trees together into a tunnel. vine maples don’t grow too fast, but they aren’t that slow, either. I would give this project ten years to start looking good. I’ll have to replace a couple of the trees that didn’t make it, but I may have missed the order deadline this year. crumb.

I love vine maples. they’re like organic playgrounds.
