Product of South Africa, Sonatini is I think a trade name and Hippeastrum the botanical name. This is a miniature amaryllis hybrid which will produce leaves and flowers at the same time. It is shorter than a ‘Dutch’ amaryllis. Origin: South America
Cultivation: prefers a light constantly warm position 21C-25C, keep soil slightly moist by watering sparingly around neck of bulb. Remove water standing in saucer. Fertilising not necessary.
