Amongst the many trees scattered around our 2 acre lot, are 2 small pear trees in our front yard. We were lucky to see them happily fruiting last year (our first spring/summer in our home) and harvest a dozen or so fruits. However, here in 2012, they are suffering horribly from the heat and drought hitting our area of RI, and haven’t blossomed or show much of anything this season.
