Six tomatoes, five stakes D:

The last plant is sort of flopped over and growing oddly since I was so late staking it up, but it’s still growing and probably has the most tomatoes out of all of them.

Now if only I could keep the damn chipmunks from eating the tomatoes as they ripen. fist shake

I’ve been picking the tomatoes before fully ripe to spare them chipmunk damage, then ripening them indoors and freezing. Once I get enough for sauce I’ll be busting out the canner!

Chajara's San Marzano Tomatoes Care Instructions

If sowing directly, aim to sow 0.78 inches (2.0 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 2.60 feet (80.0 cm).

Tomato 'San Marzano' normally tends to reach to a mature height of 1.20 metres [imperial: 3.90 feet] so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.

Your garden has full sun light which is ideal for Tomato 'San Marzano'.

Remember to water moderately.

Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (5) is within the ideal range for Tomato 'San Marzano'. The recommended range is between Zone 3 and 14.

Tomato 'San Marzano' ideally needs a soil ph of 5.0 to 6.0 (acidic soil), so check your soil acidity regularily.

Tomato problems include Bacterial Speck, Bacterial Spot, Bacterial Canker, Verticillium Wilt, and Early Blight, so keep a close eye out for any developing symptoms.
