These were on sale for $.50 at Menard’s so I bought ten. I planted them in Walmart recycled shopping bags which cost another $.50 ea. I made my own potting mix using Larry Hall’s recipe.

The peat moss was $7.45/ 2.2 cu’ bag. Last fall it was $4.45/bag. I’ll be waiting until fall to buy more.
Hopefully, if this wicking idea works, I’ll make a long tray to hold about ten bags and use a float valve to water the tray automatically. Larry Hall is planning on using a kiddie pool with a valve to keep the water level up.

Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 11.7 inches (30.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.0 inches (0.0 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Strawberry 'Honeoye' normally tends to reach to a mature height of 20.0 cm [imperial: 7.8 inches] so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Your garden has don't know light - try to position in a full sun location instead.
Remember to water often.
Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (3b) is within the ideal range for Strawberry 'Honeoye'. The recommended range is between Zone 3 and 10.
A soil ph of between 5.5 and 7.5 is ideal for Strawberry 'Honeoye' as it does best in acidic to alkaline soil so test your soil acidity often.
Strawberry 'Honeoye' tends to be susceptible to Verticillium Wilt and Tomato ringspot virus so keep a note of any developing symptoms.
