02 Mar 2008just named! coleus 'Cantigny Royale' and please live until spring Indoor gardenI was looking through a Park Seed catalog and what should I see but my purple coleus. It did not have a tag when I bought it, but now it has a name. Photo in the catalog looks just like this did when it was growing outside last summer. The original plant now moved indoors is still quite green.Sunny 13°C / 56°F

09 Dec 2007not a good day for coleus coleus 'Cantigny Royale' and please live until spring Indoor gardenWhen I was cleaning up from outside today, I managed to knock the big pot of coleus on the ground. The plant seems okay and I took it outside and added some potting soil and watered it well.

Here is a picture of one of my fall cuttings of the purple coleus. It is very interesting that the new growth that is coming in indoors in green.
