      skyfiery's Small onions x 1

Plant: Onion (Allium cepa var. cepa) |

This planting has been archived (Harvested)

I planted five onions which I’d gotten from the supermarket, which had already shown signs of growth. Going to see if the onions grow bigger (or if these are shallots), or just harvest the leaves as garnishes.

If you haven’t got the space or patience to wait for the onions/shallots, you could grow them for spring onions. That’s what a friend of mine with green thumbs but can’t cook does. A few days before he decides to make maggie mee, he would stick an onion into the soil. He would then snip the spring onions into his mee.

    Hey, that’d be really cool.

But how does he know when he wants to eat maggie mee? LOL.

laughs It’s just a weird trait I thought I might ask about. I usually get cravings one day in advance, sometimes one night in advance. But a few days in advance? Whoa.
