My mother had 2 of these when I moved here. One on the north side of her house and one on the south side of her house. The south side plant apparently didn’t like the Arkansas heat. At. All. It died. But, the north side plant is doing reasonably well.

crochetkim's Azalea Care Instructions
Rhododendron normally tends to reach to a mature height of 37.00 metres [imperial: 120.25 feet] so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Your garden has don't know light - try to position in a partial sun location instead.
Remember to water moderately.
Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (7b) is within the ideal range for Rhododendron. The recommended range is between Zone 4 and 8.
A soil ph of between 5.0 and 6.5 is ideal for Rhododendron as it does best in acidic soil so test your soil acidity often.
More information about Azalea is available in the Folia gardener's wiki. All Azalea Care Instructions have been kindly provided by our members.
